Italy is Up for a Fantastic Football Betting Weekend!

Italian juggernauts Napoli and Juventus are expected to continue their heated battle at the top, but big names such as Inter Milan, Roma and Lazio are also ones to watch in what is promising to be an exciting set of Serie A football games.

Every win matters at this stage of the season and the title chasers certainly can’t afford to drop any more points if they aim to turn around the betting odds.

WEEK 20 SATURDAY:

Chievo vs Udinese

While Udinese are unbeaten in five Serie A games, Chievo are winless in the same stretch and even gave Benevento their first win of the season. Hence, in such poor form, it’s unlikely the visitors can stop the home team headed by the red-hot Kevin Lasagna.

Fiorentina vs Inter Milan

Inter need to get their season back on track if they want to revive their title challenge. However, it won’t be as easy as it sounds against a Fiorentina team dreaming of European football.

Luciano Spalletti’s men did beat Stefano Pioli side 3-0 the last time they met, but the Viola have the advantage of playing at home where they haven’t lost since December.

This match could well end in a stalemate, so betting on Draw @ 3.00 seems the best choice.

Torino vs Bologna

Only a point separates these two sides in the table, so both will surely eye for the win here. A slew of injuries to Torino, nevertheless, make their form questionable—particularly after failing to beat strugglers SPAL and Genoa—and should give Bologna a chance to leapfrog the Turin outfit.

Benevento vs Sampdoria

Bottom club Benevento enter the year with renewed optimism after taking their first win. Of course, they are still far from getting out of danger, but there’s no doubt they’ll be high in confidence when they play a Sampdoria outfit that are missing their usual groove defensively.

Napoli vs Hellas Verona

Napoli are just one point ahead of second-placed Juve, so they need every win they can get to pile the pressure on the Bianconeri. Fortunately, they are up against Hellas Verona who have lost back-to-back matches and have conceded seven goals in the process.

Genoa vs Sassuolo

Their first match this season ended in a goalless draw, and it’s likely that it won’t be much different this time as they both try to pull further away from the drop zone. Sassuolo, though, will fancy their chances after a top-flight run of four without a loss, including back-to-back victories against Sampdoria and Inter.

SPAL vs Lazio

Defence continues to be the issue for SPAL, and they can’t expect to get all three points if they don’t tighten up defensively. For Lazio, though, it’s an opportunity to continue their climb, especially with their top-notch attack that ranks as one of the best in the league. If you’re punting, go for Lazio Asian Handicap -1.25 @ 2.26.

AC Milan vs Crotone

Following their Milan Derby victory in Coppa Italia and league draw with Fiorentina, AC Milan look ready to turn around their season. Crotone shouldn’t pose much of a challenge for them, with the 18th-placed squad losing seven of their last eight games in all competitions.

WEEK 20 SUNDAY:

AS Roma vs Atalanta

Roma are in a poor run of form lately and will hope to get back to winning ways when they visit Atalanta. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men, however, are on a three-game winning streak on the road and will be more motivated after knocking Napoli out of the Italy Cup.

Their previous matchup ended 1-0 in favour of Roma, but the visitors should be able to keep the battle tighter now. With that said, picking Atalanta on Asian Handicap +0.50 @ 2.21 is a logical move.

Cagliari vs Juventus

Although it’s surprising not to see Juve at the top at this point of the season, the reigning champions should still be feared. They are ready to pounce once Napoli slip and appear more dangerous than ever with Paulo Dybala back to his scoring ways.

Cagliari’s chances of winning here are slim to none, considering their inconsistent performance and the fact that they haven’t beaten the Bianconeri since 2010.
