Serie A took another big twist last Saturday with a win for Juventus and a defeat for leaders Napoli.
A double strike by Roma’s Edin Dzeko sunk Napoli and swung the title betting odds back in the Bianconeri’s favour. However, Juve had to wait until the last minute for Paulo Dybala to grab a win against Lazio to give a double prize for their fans who backed them with handicap betting.
Roma stunned Napoli and made nonsense of betting tips with a 2-4 victory at Stadio San Paolo. Meanwhile, Dybala’s late, late winner in Rome cut Napoli’s lead to a single point as Juventus worked hard for a 0-1 win over Lazio. Mario Mandzukic came close to scoring for Juve, but it looked like Lazio had held on for a draw until Dybala kept his composure by bagging his late goal.
SPAL continued its fight against relegation with a second consecutive win, with Alberto Grassi’s second-half strike giving the hosts a 1-0 win over Bologna.
Sunday’s fixtures were cancelled as a mark of respect following the tragic death of Fiorentina captain Davide Astori.
