More football betting fun as Leipzig chase Bayern!

Win and they still have a shot. Lose and it’s likely over for them.

There are still four football games left for each team, but Matchday 31 can make or break Leipzig’s title dreams as they look to cut Bayern’s lead at the top to just five points.

Of course, they will hope that the Bavarians lose or draw their match this weekend, though their priority is ensuring to get all the points they can get to keep online betting for the championship race heated up until the final game.

WEEK 31 SATURDAY:

Bayer Leverkusen vs Schalke 04

It’s quite unimaginable that Bayer finished third in the Bundesliga last year. Now, they are 12th with only one win in the past two months – against bottom club Darmstadt. Schalke have also fallen from grace this year, but their defence should be able to at least hold up with the hosts’ noticeably weakened frontline.

RB Leipzig vs Ingolstadt

The Bulls certainly won’t want to miss the opportunity of inching closer to Bayern; luckily for them, they’ll be facing Ingolstadt who haven’t won in two.

Although the 17th-placed visitors will be confident entering this match given that they upset Leipzig last December, it’s not looking good for them with the second-ranked hosts featuring another scoring threat in Yussuf Poulsen as they stay undefeated in five. With that in mind, Leipzig Asian Handicap -1.00 @ 1.83 seems the best bet.

Darmstadt 98 vs Freiburg

The Europa League is Freiburg’s most realistic target at the moment, so they will want to take all three points here to increase their chances of experiencing European football next year. They cannot relax that much though as Darmstadt—despite sitting at the bottom—are on a tear offensively after back-to-back 2-1 victories.

Borussia Dortmund vs Koln

Inconsistency issues have marred Koln’s campaign this year, and with Anthony Modeste non-impactful during their recent fixtures, it’s doubtful that the Billy Goats can pull off a victory at Signal Iduna Park.  BVB have been pretty erratic as well, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been showing some clutch skills lately.

Mainz 05 vs Borussia Monchengladbach

Riding at the back of a two-game unbeaten run against Bayern and Hertha, Mainz will eye to extend their streak when they host Gladbach. It appears to be the perfect opportunity for them though as Dieter Hecking’s side lost two in a row – a stretch that saw them concede eight goals. Not to mention that the O-Fives will have more rest considering that the visitors just fought out a gruelling German Cup semis.

Werder Bremen vs Hertha BSC

Previously battling the drop, Bremen are now contending for a European place after going unscathed in ten league matches. The struggling Berliners, headed by Vedad Ibisevic, will pose some challenge; nonetheless, the River Islanders should have the advantage with Max Kruse fresh from scoring FOUR goals against Ingolstadt.

WEEK 31 SUNDAY:

Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich

This game should be the best chance for Bayern to return to winning ways and erase every memory of the past two weeks. They have dominated the Wolves in their previous encounters, and although the Wolves will be difficult opponents in their turf, Bayern should still be too much especially that the hosts tend to underperform against Top-3 teams. That being said, the Bavarians should be able to breeze through an Asian Handicap -1.50 that pays at 2.11.

Augsburg vs Hamburger SV

In one of the most crucial matches that will have significant implications in the relegation battle, both teams will hope to get all the points and move further away from danger. It’s hard to predict who will win in this meeting between teams not known for scoring, but home-court advantage will likely play a role for Augsburg.

Hoffenheim vs Eintracht Frankfurt

After Julian Nagelsmann guided his side to a guaranteed European place, they will now focus finishing on the top three for automatic Champions League qualification. One cannot remove a draw as a probable result when it’s Hoffenheim; however, Frankfurt’s poor form this 2017 – which led them to drop six consecutive road games – put the Sinsheimers in a good spot to triumph and beat an Asian Handicap -0.75 @ 1.75.
