But in order to get to the next level, Freiburg would have to shake off their habit of having subpar starts. In their last three matches, Streich’s men would look sluggish which open opportunities for their counterparts to score early goals.
This habit leads to frustration which often gets them into trouble against the referees as they’ve been given red cards in two out of their last three matches.
Like Gladbach, Freiburg will have a tough schedule ahead as they’ll face the likes of Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich, and Schalke 04 in the next few matchdays. A little more polishing on their backline should do the trick for team boss Christian Streich.
