Tomorrow will be a very busy day of basketball as we have an eight-game slate in the NBA.
As the matches continue to roll on here at SBOTOP, let’s examine on how will our 16 featured teams fare in tomorrow’s games.
Denver Nuggets vs Philadelphia Sixers
NBA fans are hopeful that this matchup will push through as we might see some of the best bigs in Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid in action.
The Nuggets and the Sixers are eager to bounce back from their disappointing NBA 2021 results during last Friday’s five-game slate.
Denver were defeated by Dallas in overtime, while Philadelphia were also beaten by an undermanned Brooklyn team.
Should this game push through, the Sixers’ NBA 2021 odds of winning this contest looks bleak due to their growing injury list.
Seth Curry was confirmed to have the coronavirus, while Terrance Ferguson, Mike Scott, Matisse Thybulle, Tobias Harris, Shake Milton and Danny Green and Joel Embiid are all considered doubts.
Atlanta Hawks vs Charlotte Hornets
The Hawks aim to continue their superb form on the road as they visit the Hornets tomorrow.
Atlanta may have lost three of their last four, but they are 3-1 on the road as of this writing. They will face a Hornets team who are coming off of a win against the Pelicans.
The matchup between Trae Young and LaMelo Ball will be featured in this game, as both have received plaudits for their play so far this term.
Trae Young leads the Hawks with 25.9 points and 8.4 assists per game, while LaMelo Ball flirted with a triple-double in the last time out.
Phoenix Suns vs Indiana Pacers
The new-look Suns will meet the Pacers for the first time this season in a cross-conference matchup.
Phoenix and Indiana have shown steady improvements from last season, as they already have six wins apiece after eight games.
The Suns are fresh from a stinging OT loss against the Pistons, while the Pacers are riding a two-game winning streak.
Tomorrow, we will get to see the matchups between Devin Booker and Victor Oladipo, as well as Deandre Ayton and Domantas Sabonis.
Miami Heat vs Washington Wizards
The Wizards’ identity search continues as they host the Heat for the first time tomorrow.
Bradley Beal has been on a scoring spree having tallied 101 points in their last two contests, but that hasn’t resulted into much-needed wins.
Meanwhile, the Heat have yet to win on the road and they are looking to get their first one here.
Jimmy Butler now appears to be fine after suffering an ankle injury earlier this season.
He had a dip in form to kick off 2021, but he has bounced back nicely with norms of 22.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in their last two matches.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks
Two teams with identical records go head-to-head as the Cavaliers (5-4) visit the Bucks (5-4) in a fun division matchup.
Milwaukee were recently defeated by Utah as the latter had a record three-point night, while Cleveland beat Memphis last Friday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Andre Drummond will offer an explosive matchup as both have been posting video game numbers.
But in the end, the Bucks’ depth should be enough to gather their fifth win at home.
San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves’ 2020/21 campaign is on a downward trajectory, so they will be eager to win when the Spurs are in town tomorrow.
Minnesota are currently on a six-game losing streak while the Spurs are coming off of a win against the Lakers.
The Spurs should have no problem in winning this match because they have a healthier squad.
LaMarcus Aldridge has shown no signs of rust whatsoever and he will be supported by the likes of DeMar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray.
Meanwhile, Karl-Anthony Towns’ status may have been upgraded to questionable, but the Timberwolves are unlikely to plug him into the rotation right away.
Orlando Magic vs Dallas Mavericks
Two of Europe’s greatest exports go toe-to-toe at the American Airlines Center tomorrow.
Nikola Vucevic will look to improve the Magic’s road record to 4-1, but it will be much easier said than done against Luka Doncic and co.
The Montenegrin big man will have his hands full since he will carry the load for Orlando as Markelle Fultz suffered a torn ACL earlier this week.
Luka Doncic will also miss his star partner in Kristaps Porzingis, and he will be relied on to once more weave his magic.
Portland Trail Blazers vs Sacramento Kings
The Blazers visit the Kings in what will be a battle of two rising Western Conference teams.
This game should be a high-scoring one given that both teams have two of the fascinating guard duos in the league.
Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum will spearhead the Blazers’ attack, while De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield are gunning for their fifth win at home.
After playing in only five minutes versus the Bulls, De’Aaron Fox came back with a solid performance against the Raptors.
But momentum is on the side for Damian Lillard as he’s coming off of a 39-point performance in their dominating victory over the Timberwolves.
