Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James has been here before—being down 0-2 is nothing new to him. This time, however, the NBA Finals betting odds are way stacked against him and his Cleveland Cavaliers.
Stopping the Golden State Warriors is a job easier said than done. After all, this Bay Area team we’re talking about is the same team that won two titles in the last three years and that boasts not one, not two but four All-Stars!
However, if the Cavaliers are determined to turn things around, their best and only chance is Game 3 at Quicken Loans Arena where they have won eight straight games these playoffs.
Talking Points
Although the Warriors vs Cavaliers Game 3 betting tips have Golden State winning, Cavs fans have a valid reason to believe: there’s just no way that The King would fall to a 0-3 hole in what could be described as his career-defining postseason.
No team in league history has ever come back after going down three-to-nothing in the NBA Finals, so it’s just blasphemous to think that it will happen to 2018 LeBron—of all players!
Not to mention that the Cavs are stronger at home this year. They are 29-12 in the regular season and improved on those numbers as they tallied an 8-1 home record in this year’s playoffs.
The Cavs’ only defeat came from the Indiana Pacers in the opening game, though they have since made up for that with an unbeaten run at The Q.
It remains to be seen if they can maintain that streak. However, the Wine and Gold’s postseason averages at home should give them added confidence. They are shooting 48 percent from the field and 37 percent from three when playing in their turf.
For comparison, they shot 43 percent from the field and 30 percent from beyond the arc in the first two games at Oracle Arena.
Shots will soon start falling for the Cavs, and all signs suggest that it would be at home this Game 3. Even Warriors marksman Klay Thompson acknowledged the difficulty of playing at Cleveland, saying: “They’re a team that’s great at home.”
For the Warriors, they head into this game with smiles plastered on their faces. They can afford to lose one game, though they certainly aren’t thinking of that especially with how Steph Curry is playing.

A few days ago, Curry pointed out that he’s not thinking about getting the elusive Finals MVP award and emphasised that winning the title is more important. But after saying that, he scored a combined 62 points in the first two games to lead the Warriors to a 2-0 lead.
Oh, and he did that while also breaking the record for most three-pointers made in a single NBA Finals game!
LeBron has been a monster for the Cavs, but so is Curry; and it will be interesting to see how they will fare against each other this time around.
History
Besides the change of scenery, it’s safe to say that the Cavs have history on their side.
In 2016, the Cavaliers also found themselves in a 0-2 hole; and against all odds, LeBron willed his team to a huge turnaround. They joined the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers as the only teams in league history to overcome a two-and-o deficit in the NBA Finals.
Moreover, that historic feat made them the only team to ever come back and win the title after trailing 3-1.
It’s also worth noting that the Cavs have won two out of the three Game 3s they played in the past three finals series.
What are the odds?
As usual, the Warriors are the favourites to win. Unlike in the previous SBOBET odds, though, the game is expected to go down the wire. The Dubs are at a -4.00 handicap that pays at odds of 1.85, while the Cavs are given a +4.00 start at 2.05.
Moreover, with the Cavs likely to benefit from their home-court advantage, they are expected to keep the game close at halftime. In fact, their +0.50 First half Asian Handicap that gives 1.86 odds suggest that they are likely to be tied with the Dubs after 24 minutes of play.
Golden State, in contrast, are at First Half Asian Handicap -0.50 @ 2.02.
On the other hand, despite Game 1 and 2 finishing by more than 220 points each, our odds imply that the match could go either way at Cleveland. Over 217.00 pays at 1.94, while Under 217.00 have the same odds.
